Saint Jane launched in mid 2018 by two sisters who spent their childhood in Asia and now reside in Australia.
Saint Jane comes from a long and winding road of self discovery. Not really; we are the opposite of Plain Jane's and we want to make a difference to the people who make our clothes.
Although quality is paramount we work to keep our overheads as low as possible in an effort to ensure Saint Jane's designs are affordable whilst at the same time providing our principally female artisans with a fair and just wage to support themselves and their respective communities. The same holds true for those brands with which we choose to collaborate with. Providing the opportunity to shop with a purpose is important to Saint Jane.
Each production run is kept very small, once it's sold out that's it. A jumpsuit at the beach, paired with a sun safe stylish panama and jewellery that won't turn your skin green after a dip. This same jumpsuit can be paired with heels for a night out or sneakers for a plane trip where being delayed at least means you are comfortable on the tarmac. This is just one of the many examples of how versatile our designs are.
We want everyone to enjoy Saint Jane. It's not about us wanting to conquer the world and stopping fast fashion, it's about sharing our small insight into a different way of manufacturing clothes supporting fair, just and sustainable principles - and showing our customers who they are supporting when they wear a piece of Saint Jane.
What we like:
Exploring, BBQ's on a beach, hotel sheets, jumpsuits, face masks, G&T's, dresses, humid nights, meeting locals, movies on the plane, croissants, rockpools, hats, hats and more hats, orchids, beach bars (maybe not Lohan's), sunsets at the farm, sunrises over India.
